COPS

Cops is a number of utilities that monitor changes on a Unix box. These script/programs generate CRC’s on critical files to see if they have changed since the application was last run. Also a permissions and owner check is performed on critical files and directories.


cd /usr/local/bin

tar  xvf coast.cs.purdue.edu/pub/tools/unix/cops/cops_104.tar

cd cops_104

./reconfig

make all
